Engineering Social Change
Racial Equity in the Workplace
Wednesday, February 3 @ 3:00pm
MIT Sloan will be hosting the first of an ongoing series of discussions titled: Engineering Social Change. Each discussion will feature a panel of MIT students and alumni that will (through a moderator) share their stories of their personal and professional journeys within a social change dimension(s). This panel will help advance Institute and MIT Sloan goals related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. If there is anything the past few years have taught us is that there is always room for dialogue about important social issues.
The first ESC event, Engineering Social Change, Racial Equity in the Workplace explore panelists personal and professional experiences in the workplace related to racial equity. The discussion will take place virtually through Zoom. After the panel discussion participants will have the opportunity to join a breakout room for an opportunity for small conversations. The panelists, who represent a breadth of experience, will be announced this week!
This program was the idea of Nwanacho (Nacho) Nwana ‘20, a Course 15 alumnus! We are grateful for his work and insight, as well as the work of Abiola Familusi (Course 15 sophomore), who has been helping with the event’s communications.
You can register via Eventbrite and a Zoom link will be sent to you later this week. ESC is open to the MIT community, so feel free to share this email across your networks.
