About the event: This 90-minute play highlights the life and achievements of Käthe Leichter (1895–1942) and Marie Jahoda (1907–2001), two Austrian pioneers in the 1920s and 1930s in researching and writing about unemployment, work and gender pay inequality. Both women were political activists who opposed the rise of fascism in Austria and the Nazis, and the play portrays them against a backdrop of politically turbulent times. This Cambridge performance is part of a U.S. tour of the show by the Viennese company portraittheater
