The annual Charles Townes Lecture on Science and Religion honors Charles Townes, winner of the Nobel Prize for his invention of the laser and the Templeton Award for his groundbreaking work on bridging the gap between science and religion. The Charles Townes Lecture on Science and Religion unites these two worlds by featuring informative and thought-provoking lectures from prominent scientists and theologians, who begin their one-year tenure as Charles Townes Scholars by delivering this talk.
