PresenterSuzanne Flynn, Ph.D.; Professor of Linguistics and Language Acquisition, MIT

How might being bilingual benefit your child? What is the best way to go about raising a bilingual child? Whether you are anticipating or already raising a multilingual, this workshop will help guide you through that process. The discussion will include a review of the research on the effects of bilingual experiences on children’s language development, as well as the social factors that can help children acquire and maintain fluency in more than one language.

Events are open to all community members. We welcome people of every identity, ability/disability, and background, and will strive to meet all needs for full participation.
