You are cordially invited to attend the inaugural event for MIT’s Disability ERG (employee resource group), open to all MIT employees who are interested in topics related to disabilities.  We are pleased to offer an educational and informative workshop, “Inclusive Communication and Events”, on Thursday, January 19th, 11:45am -1pm in W20-491.  Lunch will be provided; please RSVP through the link at the bottom of this email, so we have an accurate headcount.

What do we mean by “inclusive communication and events?”

Supporting diversity and inclusion means welcoming all voices to the conversation. But this doesn’t always happen. At this presentation, you’ll learn how to make your events, meetings, and messages more accessible to everyone by identifying the barriers that can prevent people with disabilities and others from full participation. This informative and entertaining session will offer practical ideas, lively discussion, and easy-to-use additions to your communications toolkit.

There will also be an opportunity to join the newest ERG.

Please feel free to share this invite with others who may be interested in attending.

RSVP via the doodle poll available at  http://doodle.com/poll/ai99p3hkti37cycb  Note: lunch will include gluten free and vegetarian options.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Best Regards,

Barbara

co-lead MIT Disability ERG
