Join Us for a Lunch Workshop to Develop Hackathon Challenges

Since its founding in 2014, Breaking the Mold has served as a platform for three conferences, four workshops, and dozens of open discussions, all aimed at promoting tolerance and understanding. We are excited to announce the 2017 Breaking the Mold Hackathon: an intense, interactive, one-day event to build tools to combat unconscious bias and intolerance held at the MIT Media Lab on Saturday, February 25th, 2017. Teams will be encouraged to tackle the issue along any dimension of diversity (e.g. gender, race, sexuality, religion, etc.) across a wide variety of arenas (e.g. the workplace, media, policing, etc.).

The Breaking the Mold team is in the process of putting together the actual challenges that teams will tackle and reaching out across the community to make sure the challenges are on-point, thought-provoking, and diverse in and of themselves. To further catalyze that discussion, they will be holding a lunch workshop next Monday, December 12 with a broad group of D&I stakeholders and passionate change-makers and your perspective would be a valuable addition to the conversation. Hope to see you there!
